In The Black Tier List — All Ships Ranked (May 2026)

Updated for the current May 2026 EA patch. Rankings are weighted toward BloodSport 5v5 ranked play; Contract PvE is noted separately.

SMeta-defining. Pick or counter every match.
Light
Kolibri

The "second" light hull — slightly heavier than the Shrike but with a real weapons bay. Currently the strongest light frame in the meta.

AVery strong, near-meta. Safe in ranked.
Light
Shrike

Cheap, agile light interceptor. The default "starter" fighter in BloodSport — high turn rate, low survivability.

Medium
Reus

The all-rounder. Medium hull with enough armor to brawl and enough mounts to carry a real weapon mix.

Heavy
Hyperion

Heavy weapons platform. Two-crew hull. Slow, armored, and capable of one-shotting any light fighter.

BNiche or situational pick.
Assault Transport
Pegasus

Three-crew assault transport. Brings boarding pods, drones, and ECM. Niche but unique in PvE.

Why these rankings?

The May 2026 EA build favours light hulls with medium-grade mounts (read: the Kolibri Axe and Sword). The Newtonian flight model heavily punishes slow rotation, so the Hyperion drops a tier when run without a dedicated gunner. Pegasus is intentionally B-tier because it is not a duelist — for Raid contracts it is effectively S-tier, but that is a different scoreboard.
